Warp
Private, end-to-end encrypted file transfer by CacheSleuth.
Warp is a private, end-to-end encrypted way to send files and short messages. Your files are encrypted in your browser before they are uploaded, and the decryption key lives in the link fragment, the part after the #, so it never reaches the server. That means CacheSleuth cannot read what you send. Only someone with the full link can.
What it does
- Files are encrypted in your browser before upload, so the server only ever holds an encrypted blob.
- The decryption key stays in the link fragment and never reaches the server. CacheSleuth cannot read what you send.
- Store up to 1 GiB, or send up to 20 GiB browser-to-browser as a direct transfer.
- Links expire on a timer you choose, from 1 hour up to 2 days.
- Links can self-destruct after a set number of downloads.
- You can also send a message-only share with no files at all.
Easy ways to use it
- Share a file in geocaching messages with someone. The Message Center only allows images, so a Warp link lets you send anything.
- Move a file from your phone to your computer with no cables and no accounts.
- Send a link or a note through text or email without prying eyes.
- Hand a GPX or a puzzle file to a teammate.
- Send photos at full quality instead of the compressed versions message apps attach.
Not for long-term storage
Warp is a transfer tool, not storage. Everything you share deletes itself automatically, after 2 days at the latest.
