Decabit Code

Ten-pulse plus/minus code for ASCII values.

The Decabit code consists of 10 characters of "+" and "-" that directly translate to numbers from 0 to 126. These values are mapped to the corresponding ASCII characters or numbers. This tool accepts both ASCII characters or their numerical code (e.g. A or 65) and can output the same when decoding.

Decabit is a series of electrical pulses intended to encode data via power lines (alternating current). It is a modulation of the electrical ripple similar to CPL (current carriers in line), mainly used in Europe for applications such as the transmission of meter readings.
