Drop a perpendicular from a point onto a line and find the nearest point on that line.
Define a line with line points A and B, then drop a perpendicular from a third point onto that line. The tool finds the foot of the perpendicular (the nearest point on the line), the cross-track distance from the point to the line, and the along-track distance from A to the foot. Coordinate inputs accept DDM, DD, and DMS formats.
